  • Amine M. Khoury

    Founder + Director
    Eastwood International School, Mansourieh
    Eastwood College, Kafarshima

    Amine M. Khoury is the founder and president of Eastwood Schools with its two campuses in Mansourieh and Kafarshima.

    Amine M. Khoury holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the American University of Beirut. He also holds a Diploma in Theology and Philosophy from Cambridge University.

    His passion for empowering and educating children was at the core of what he envisioned in a school.

    He founded Eastwood at an early age of nineteen with this vision in mind. Amine has directed the school with great fervor and inspired generations of learners to seek success.

    Amine actively gives back to the community and is an ecumenical persona. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of World Vision Lebanon for over 20 years. He also sits on the Board of the Bible Society and has been the Chairman since 2004.

  • Dr. Michel Khoury

    Strategy Specialist
    Eastwood Schools, Global

    Michel is leading the expansion of Eastwood Schools into the Middle East and Europe. Michel recently opened the first campus in Iraq and is looking into creating more campuses across the Iraqi region. He is also in talks with partners in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Kazakhstan to expand the Eastwood brand further.

    Michel holds a Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in Quantum Management and a Master’s degree in Business and Education from Columbia University.

    Michel's innovation and relentless desire to integrate technology in education has made Eastwood International School a pioneer in the Middle East. Michel has successfully integrated technology to the most fundamental level of the school system, the classroom.

    As an Apple Professional Development Consultant and an Apple Distinguished Educator, Michel regularly gives workshops on integrating technology in classroom learning environments better.

  • Cendrella Kettaneh

    Head of School
    Eastwood International School, Mansourieh

    Cendrella holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Lebanese University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Middle East University. Cendrella joined Eastwood International School in 2004 as a middle and high school Chemistry teacher. After teaching for five years, Cendrella became the Science Coordinator, revamping the curriculum and placing Eastwood International School among the best schools for science in Lebanon and the Middle East.

    Through the IB authorization process, Cendrella earned the title of the IB DP Coordinator and is, currently, in charge of guiding Eastwood International School through IB’s challenging and exciting endeavor.

    With student-centeredness in mind, Cendrella implements this curriculum with utmost precision and encourages students to take on tasks with openness, reflectiveness, and curiosity.

    After proving herself throughout the IBDP Program, she has become a member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN) as an Evaluation Leader.

    Program Development Leader

    Denise stands at the forefront of educational innovation and program development at Eastwood International School. Her multi-lingual prowess and deep-seated competence in pedagogy are complemented by many enriching years as an educator both in Canada and Lebanon. Denise's approach to teaching is characterized by her adaptability and proficiency in navigating multi-cultural environments, which is instrumental in the diverse setting of Eastwood International School.

    With a dual Bachelor's Degree in Education and Science, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Denise has an exceptional foundation for integrating STEM into her teaching methodologies. Her educational philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that every student can excel when engaged with both empathy and intellectual rigor.

    Currently, Denise is further enhancing her leadership and educational strategy skills by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Middle East University. This endeavor reflects her continuous commitment to personal and professional growth and her desire to contribute meaningfully to the educational landscape.

    As a leader, Denise has shown exemplary capabilities, most notably in her role as a subject coordinator for a team of digital design educators. Her leadership is defined by clear vision, collaborative spirit, and the ability to inspire her team to push the boundaries of digital literacy and design thinking.   • Yolande Bardaghgi

    Chef de département de français en sections française et anglaise à Eastwood International School, a rejoint le groupe EIS en 2021.

    Yolande est spécialiste en sciences de l’éducation, formatrice et conseillère pédagogique, coordinatrice de la langue française.

    Ses activités s’articulent autour du domaine de l’éducation, de la préparation et de la formation des éducateurs dans les écoles, les instituts et les universités.

    A travaillé depuis de nombreuses années dans le secteur éducatif, a occupé pour longtemps le poste de responsable pédagogique pour l’application des méthodes actives, en l’occurrence la méthode Personnalisée et Communautaire et la méthode Montessori.

    Fondatrice du Centre d’Accompagnement et de Remédiation Pédagogique (C.A.R.P).
    Co-auteure de la Collection de manuels scolaires langue française « AU DELÀ DES MOTS » Lecture et Grammaire de la GS à la 6 ème.

    A conçu et développé une méthode de lecture et d’écriture en langue arabe parallèle à la méthode phonétique et syllabique en français, inspirée de la méthode Montessori.

    Responsable des cycles maternel et primaire de la section française
    Eastwood International School, Mansourieh

    Marie Thérèse a rejoint la famille d'Eastwood International School en 2020 et a entamé l'éducation Montessori en parallèle au programme PYP du Baccalauréat International avec son équipe de la section française.

    Ses 23 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de l'éducation ainsi que de la gérance du préscolaire ont créé une passionnée du développement de l'enfant ; débutant de son bas âge jusqu'à son apprentissage ascendant vers les étapes scolaires. Durant ses longues années, sa résilience, son sérieux et sa passion pour ce domaine l'ont poussée à forger un apprentissage exceptionnel, autonome et éveillé à ses élèves avec un grand sourire et les bras grands ouverts.

    Son amour pour les tout petits et sa vision ambitieuse lui ont permis de poursuivre des études spécialisées et d'acquérir le certificat Montessori pour les 0-6 ans attesté de la NMV (Nederlandse Montessori Vereniging) Association Montessori Pays-Bas. Par ailleurs, le dynamisme et la créativité de Marie Thérèse l'ont également encouragée à obtenir la certification de "Leadership in crisis / John Maxwell team”

Holding a Master's degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Management from the University of Balamand, and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Saint Joseph, Hiba has become a cornerstone in fostering inclusive education in Lebanon.

    Hiba's journey began as a Special Education Consultant at Rawdat El Fayhaa Secondary School, where her innovative approaches and dedicated service extended for nearly thirteen years. Her expertise in educational assessments and NLP, certified by the International NLP Trainers Association, has equipped her with unique skills to support students with special needs, ensuring their right to quality education and personal development.

    Her work with Eastwood Schools as a Special Rights Coordinator highlights her commitment to child rights and her strategic influence in education reform.
